Terms of use.
Please read these terms before downloading or using software published through DDSQ Tools.
1. Use at your own risk
All programs are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. You are responsible for deciding whether a program is suitable for your device, files and intended purpose. Install, run and use every program at your own risk.
2. Backups and data
Before using a tool on important files or systems, create a current backup and verify that it can be restored. DDSQ is not liable for lost data, interrupted work, device damage, loss of profit or other direct or indirect consequences arising from use of a program, to the extent permitted by law.
3. Permitted use
You may download and use published programs for lawful personal or professional purposes, subject to any licence or third-party notice included with a specific package. You may not use the service or its software to violate the rights of others, bypass access controls without authorisation, distribute malware or interfere with the service.
4. Downloads and security
We take reasonable care when publishing packages, but no internet download can be guaranteed to be free of defects or harmful code. Check the displayed SHA-256 value where available and use current security software.
5. Accounts, comments and ratings
Downloads are public. A confirmed account is required to rate or comment. Keep your credentials secure and provide accurate account information. Comments must remain relevant, respectful and lawful. We may hide or remove spam, abuse, personal data or other inappropriate content, and may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
6. Donations
Donations are voluntary, do not purchase a licence, warranty, priority support or influence over future development, and are generally not payment for a specific program. Payment processing is handled by PayPal under its own terms and privacy practices.
7. Intellectual property and third-party components
Programs are created in response to practical needs encountered by enthusiasts during everyday professional work. Rights in each program remain with its respective author. Open-source libraries and other third-party components remain subject to their own licences and notices.
8. Privacy
For registered users, we store the email address, password hash, account status and content needed for comments and ratings. Passwords are not stored in readable form. We do not sell account data. Service logs may contain security and diagnostic information necessary to operate the website.
9. Changes and availability
Programs, features and these terms may be corrected, changed, replaced or withdrawn. We do not guarantee continuous availability or continued compatibility with future operating-system versions.
